Because things went abit strange with our WEST vs EAST match, I somehow ended up stumbling onto the SHORE vs SOUTH match. Fortunately for me SOUTH needed an extra player
The SHORE team was always going to be a tough match-up for SOUTH, due to the huge depth of well experienced players out on the shore.
The match began well enough with both teams getting into position according to their game plan. However once the SHORE team took out a few of the SOUTH players they quickly took advantage of the situation to put in some early strategic flag caps. As the SOUTH team attempted to retake the strategic flags they found themselves being continually pushed back by the SHORE sharp shooters. As SOUTH struggled to get through, the rest of the SHORE team were positioning themselves to take the last few flags, so that every now and then just when it looked as if SOUTH were about to get through, the experience in the SHORE team showed up with devastating results. Time after time SOUTH found themselves unable to defend the last flag due to the overwhelming wave of SHORE numbers, as a result of players still respawning. As each new round began the SHORE team increased the pressure which caused slight confusion and frustration in the SOUTH ranks........this was only the first half!
The second half began very much the same as the first, the difference being, SHORE managed to cap out the first few rounds much quicker than in the first half. As the SOUTH team became more familiar with the different map spawn and weapons, the orders were given to try a different plan of strategy. This seemd to do the trick, as the SHORE team found it abit harder to take the later stage rounds. Note: At this stage of the match most players would have just simply given up, however, they make em tough out south!. I was impressed by the way the SOUTH team continued to encourage one another and enjoy the match right up to the end!
Although it was a convincing win to the SHORE team, SOUTH showed that they can indeed learn and adapt to whatever they face. It is this ability to adapt and learn, that is going to carry them through in their upcoming matches. Watch out for the SOUTH team!
